Estimate of income for use in child support assessment (CS1670)

This form allows you to provide an estimated income when your current income differs significantly from what's used in your child support assessment.

When do you need this form?

You need this form when your current income is at least 15% less than the adjusted taxable income used in your child support assessment, or when you need to update a previously lodged estimate. It's also used when a new financial year is starting and you expect to earn significantly less than the amount currently used in your assessment.

What you'll need

  • Details of your current income and employment situation
  • Evidence to support your estimated income amount
  • Your previous tax return (must be lodged before estimate can be accepted)
  • Year to date income figures

Where to send it

Submit the completed form to Services Australia through your Child Support online account via myGov, or contact them on 131 272 for assistance with lodging.
